H.O. Tiedemann was an explorer who led a CPR survey crew.
He was apparently in Victoria sometime before 1860 since the US Library of Congress contains a drawing[1] by him of the Victoria Harbour at that time.
There is a glacier and mountain that is likely named by or after him near the head of Bute Inlet. He and his survey crew were in that area in 1872.
Explored during:
- 1872 - led 'W' on a survey up the Homathko River.
- 1875 - led a trail building crew on the Homathko River.
