Parsnip River

The Parsnip River is one of the main tributaries of the Peace River (flows into Williston Lake) along with Findlay River. The river flows generally north-west from its source in the Rocky Mountain trench.

The river served as a route for early exploration and fur trading, including being the route taken by Simon Fraser in 1806 as he travelled up the Peace River, the Parsnip and the Pack River.
