H.P. Bell was an explorer and surveyor for the Canadian Pacific Railway surveys.

He was involved for a number of years:

  • 1874 - led 'N' on the upper Fraser River
  • 1875 - led 'N' on the Chilcotin plateau
  • 1876 - led 'N' on the upper Fraser River
