Yale

Yale was the head of navigation on the Fraser River and the location of a major town. It was the start of the Wagon Road used by prospectors on the way to the Cariboo Gold Rush.
During the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway, Andrew Onderdonk used the town as his headquaters. The actual start of Onderdonk's contract was at Emory's Bar about 5 miles downstream from Yale.
