Engine and Crew on Bridge

From the Ebay Description (#6224323667, November 2005):

This is an interesting cabinet card photographic image from the Canadain Pacific wilderness with an early flared smokestack locomotive on a newly constructed trestle bridge with a long line of people posing in front of it, including well dressed men, women and children along with a work crew closer to the engine. Card is 5" by 8" and it is in excellent condition with only the slightest edge wear. This could have been one of the first trips along the completed line and included a group of well-dressed dignitaries, who all posed for this photograph on a bridge along the route. This is part of a terrific lot of 15 stereoviews and 40 cabinet card photographs of the Canadian Rockies in western Canada, particularly the Selkirk Mountains in British Columbia, taken by a few different photographers in the 1880s. Subjects are mostly associated with the exploration and building of the Canadian Pacific Railway through that remote wilderness area, and several are of the trains, trestles, and some great images of the actual workers.
